your ducklings are just precious!!!!
any advice on how to get a warm gold? I’m spray painting a lamp that started out an antique bronze (dark) and i spray painted it with rustoleum metallic gold and they came out horrible! it looks like a greenish gold. i just got done removing the paing with acetone nail polish remover and it took not only the gold spray paint but the factory antique bronze. Its now a rust colored orange (which i dont care about because i’ll be attempting to paint it again. i probably went wrong by not priming it with white first and then the gold, but even the white paper towel the overspray got on has that greenish brass gold look and i hate it.
Any suggestions on how to get a beautiful warm gold like the color in your painting/
I used Montana Gold brand spray paint. I know what you mean about the bronze and antique-looking golds. I’ve tried other brands to no avail. I also ended up having to use the same brand gloss clear coat on top so that the beautiful gold finish didn’t rub off or dull because of the oils from my hands touching the surface when I painted a mandala over the top.
Hope this helps!
